Permanent Army and Recruitment in Mexico at the Time of the North American Invasion, 1846-1847

Abstract
Between 1846 and 1847 Mexico maintained a warlike conflict with the United States. After an incident at the border boundary in April 1846 the government of Washington declared war on him. The national troops were mobilized; elements were recruited to reinforce it in its imminent clash with the Americans. In mid-1846, after the casualties on the front, an attempt was made to reorganize the army. Until 1847 the recruitment dynamics remained, despite the number of recruits that could meet, the fall of the Mexican capital would be inevitable, and with it the loss of more than half of the territory.
