Abstract

The Dobama Asiayon was a Burmese nationalist organization that led the anti-colonial struggle against British rule in the 1930s and had a decisive impact in the decolonization process. Known as thakins, its members later became the leaders of the process that lead to the independence of Burma in 1948 and led the national political scene in the following decades
