Uma canção de violência e orientalismo: representações de Daenerys Targaryen em Game of Thrones (2011)

Résumé

Este artigo tem como objetivo principal analisar alguns aspectos apresentados pela personagem Daenerys Targaryen na série de TV Game of Thrones (2011-2019), visando a relação da construção cinematográfica para com a realidade histórica da sociedade medieval. A pesquisa foi construída tendo como ênfase o papel da mulher no período, inclusive de mulheres em situação de poder, e a forma com que a produção cinematográfica representa as relações de gênero ordinárias na aristocracia medieval. A partir da análise do primeiro episódio da série, foi possível examinar a forma que a personagem em questão se apresenta em meio a um ambiente composto por homens em cargos de poder, e como ela enfrenta esse sistema tão excludente e violento com mulheres.
