Los zarpazos del oso en el desierto: Rusia y la nueva geopolítica del Sahel

Resumen

Este trabajo explora la irrupción de Rusia en el Sahel como una parte fundamental de su estrategia geopolítica de confrontación con Occidente. A través del análisis de la intervención rusa en la región, se examina cómo el Kremlin ha utilizado herramientas híbridas, para expandir su influencia y desafiar la presencia occidental, particularmente la de Francia. La investigación también analiza la ineficacia de la estrategia europea en el Sahel y las significativas implicaciones de la intervención rusa para la seguridad regional y global. Los resultados indican que la intervención rusa no solo busca el control de recursos y la expansión de su influencia, sino que también forma parte de una estrategia más amplia de revisionismo fronterizo y desestabilización del orden internacional establecido. La presencia rusa en el Sahel ha exacerbado la militarización de los conflictos y ha complicado los esfuerzos internacionales para estabilizar la región.
