Abstract
The existence of social differentiation due to a historical and biased construction of gender roles and sexual stereotypes is a reality that undermines any attempt at feminist progress and change. In fact, the cultural products of earlier times are significant examples of resources to build, spread and endure this separation between men and women. In a current context, there are other resources such as the visual animation culture of the Disney production company. Therefore, starting from a socio-critical paradigm and a feminist position and queer theory, it is intended to make visible the visual discourses that both cultural elements persist and that are characterized as macho. All this, through the artistic methodology ARTography. On the one hand, there is evidence regarding classical dance that allows us to affirm how through its evolution, a patriarchal and masculine hegemony is imposed in the different power relations that are established in the arguments of the works. On the other hand, regarding Disney productions, it is noted that in most of these there is a persistence of gender roles that entail a differentiation between men and women; returning inferior to the second versus the first. We conclude by concluding the persistence of gender roles and sexual stereotypes in classical dance productions that are a reference for dance sequences that appear in animated films such as those of the Disney production company and that endure a macho and differentiated society.
