Abstract
Preserve and protect the Cultural Heritage and its common properties making it up, it is essential for maintaining the social, cultural and historical identity of societies. In getting that goal, every professional connected to the Cultural Heritage must be aware of legal and ethical requirements to avoid that, in case of wars and conflicts, those common goods, so fragile, were destroyed and that identity preserved taking into account it is a good belonging to past, present and future generations of human beings. For that reason, it is also essential that Armed Forces and militaries recognise and apply the established norms of International Humanitarian Law and the customary rules of war related to the Humanitarian Cultural Heritage.
