Abstract

In Movimientos sociales en transformación. Protesta y movilización social en España (2000-2022), Marta Romero-Delgado, Andy Eric Castillo Patton and Gomer Betancor Nuez compile a series of texts on the dynamics of protest and social movements in Spain, especially between 2000 and 2022, and the historical trajectory of some of them. The book includes various proposals transversal to collective action, such as the analysis of its collaborative dimension, or to the context of current democracy in Spain, examining the normalization of protest or its high intensity, but with an uncomfortable or absent relationship with the institutions. It also focuses on the case studies of the feminist, the LGTBIQ+, the far right, the anti-militarist, the memorialist, the autonomous, the social centers, the social unionism and the rider movements. Finally, it includes an exhaustive review of the social movements in Spain between 2000 and 2022.
