Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • Texto en Times New Roman 12, justificado por ambos lados.
  • Formato APA.
  • Título en castellano y en inglés, con los respectivos Resúmenes y Abstract, Palabras clave y Keywords, al principio.
  • Pies de imágenes y tablas numerados (ej. “Figura 1. Título figura.”). Todas las figuras y tablas deben aparecer mencionadas en el texto.
  • Referencias literales en cursiva.
  • Citas:
    • Citas a pie de página con todos los datos la primera vez que se cita.
    • Si se cita por segunda vez, no se usarán “latinajos” del tipo op. cit, idem, ibidem. Se aplicará reducción en la cita, mencionándose el apellido del autor o autores y la fecha de edición entre paréntesis, seguido de una coma y mencionado el número de página o páginas aludidas.
  • Bibliografía y Webgrafía al final:
    • Referencias mencionadas en citas, luego recopiladas en Bibliografía y Webgrafía al final siguiendo el formato APA, ordenadas alfabéticamente por el apellido de los autores de los trabajos descritos: el apellido va en primer lugar, seguido de una coma y la inicial del nombre, a cada inicial le seguirá un punto. Y, si son enlaces electrónicos se ordenarán igualmente de forma alfabética a partir de la primera letra tras la habitual referencia a las www:
    • Títulos de libro en Capítulos de libro y artículos entrecomillados.
