The Garden of Count Visconti. Opera Stage Designs

Abstract

Luchino Visconti’s cinematographic work has been analyzed in depth, but not so much his meticulous and exhaustive work as absolute author of the design of the staging of his numerous productions for the Opera, which bring him closer to the conception of the total artist, not so much at the behest of the figure of the stage designer of the modern age, but even approximating his work to that of the regista, director or demiurge of all the scenic components.
