Self-archiving

Neomedieval guarantees permanent access to published material (digital objects) through its servers and offers the following solutions:

1, Local backups at the university's IT facilities of the journal's OJS web hosting.
2. Metadata repository for long-term preservation in external repositories and services: Hosting of full articles on Dialnet, Jisc, Dulcinea, ZENODO, OPENAIR and REDIB (Ibero-American Network for Innovation and Scientific Knowledge).
3. Use of digital preservation metadata, Dublin Core; MARC; MARC21; RFC1807
4. Use of OJS (Open Journal Systems) version 3.3.0.6, open source software compatible with the OAI-PHM (Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability protocol, which allows interoperability between different platforms and repositories through the exchange of metadata.

6. Digital preservation services: Use of the LOCKSS system to authorise preservation on third-party servers through a file distributed among libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
7. Technical advice from the company Proeditio (Fundación Dialnet) to ensure the proper functioning of the OJS system, as well as the installation of new software versions.
